How to check a China lingerie factory before you pay a deposit

Most problems with overseas lingerie orders show up after the deposit. These are the checks that catch them early, with our answer to each.

Does the factory make your product on its own floor?

Ask for reference samples from the production floor, not stock pieces. We run our own floor in Shuyang, and you deal with one named contact from quote to delivery.

Will bulk match the approved sample?

Ask how recovery and fit are controlled. We wash-test elastic recovery on the production fabric and send you the report before cutting, and sample and bulk use elastic from the same batch and dye lot.

Is the sample fee a sunk cost?

Ask whether it is credited. Ours is credited 100% against your bulk order.

Is payment tied to inspection?

Ask when the balance is due. Ours is a 30% deposit to start production and the 70% balance after you approve inspection.

Will your design stay yours?

Ask for an NDA before you share a tech pack. We sign one before spec review, and your design is not shown to other buyers.

From deposit to delivery: what you see at each stage

Overseas orders tend to go wrong out of sight. You hear about a quality issue when the goods arrive. Here is every checkpoint where you get visibility.

Deposit received: materials confirmed

Once your deposit clears, we issue a pre-production summary with the fabric spec and trim list. You can review the materials before we cut anything.

Pre-production cutting sample

A cutting sample is made from the production fabric itself. Measurements and photos come to you for sign-off before any bulk cutting begins.

Bulk cutting starts: progress photos on request

Your order has one named contact from quote to delivery. Progress photos from the sewing floor are available on request at any point, sent by email or WhatsApp.

Inline QC & wash test

Our QC team runs stitch density, fit, and elastic recovery checks during production. The wash test report is sent to you before bulk cutting is confirmed.

Pre-shipment AQL inspection

A final AQL inspection is carried out on the packed goods. The report (measurements, photos, pass/fail summary) is sent to you before we arrange shipment. The 70% balance is due after you approve this report.

Dispatch & tracking

Goods leave FOB Shanghai or Ningbo, or DDP delivered to your door. Tracking details, commercial invoice and packing list are sent on the same day.

AQL Inspection Report

A full AQL inspection is carried out on packed goods before every bulk shipment. The report includes measurements, photos and a pass/fail summary sent to you before we ship.

Fibre content certificates and fabric test reports are available on request. Required for EU care-label compliance and many retail buyer audits.

Export Documentation

Commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading for US, UK, EU and AU customs clearance. We have prepared export paperwork for these markets since the factory opened.

An NDA is signed before you share a tech pack or reference design. Your design is not shown to other buyers or used in our ODM library.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Chinese lingerie manufacturer has a low MOQ?

Our MOQ is 50 pieces per style per colour, with sizes mixed freely. Many China factories ask for several hundred pieces per style, so confirm whether a quoted MOQ is per style, per colour or per order.

How do I find a reliable lingerie manufacturer in China?

Shortlist factories that show their own production floor, ask for reference samples made there, and compare how each handles sample-to-bulk consistency and payment terms. The five checks on this page are a good starting list.

How much does it cost to manufacture lingerie in China?

Unit price depends on cup construction, fabric and trims, so we quote from your tech pack or reference: fabric options, a unit price and a delivery window within 24 hours.

How long do samples and bulk production take?

ODM samples take 7 to 10 days and new OEM patterns 10 to 14 days. Bulk production takes 30 to 45 days from sample sign-off, and progress photos are available on request.

How do I know bulk will match my approved sample?

Elastic recovery is wash-tested on the production fabric and you receive the report before cutting. The waistband elastic comes from a designated supplier, the spec sheet ships with your goods, and sample and bulk use elastic from the same batch and dye lot.

How does payment work?

30% deposit to start production. The 70% balance is due after you approve inspection.

Do you ship DDP or FOB?

Both. We quote FOB Shanghai or Ningbo, or DDP delivered to your door, whichever suits your import set-up. Shipments come with an AQL inspection report.

Are you a factory or a trading company?

We run our own production floor in Shuyang, grade patterns in-house on our own CAD system and produce woven labels in-house. You deal with one named contact from quote to delivery.

Do you sign NDAs?

Yes. We sign an NDA before spec review, and your design is not shown to other buyers.

Can I visit the factory, or can this all be managed remotely?

Both. The factory in Shuyang is open to visits. Contact us to arrange a tour before or during your production run. If you cannot travel, the full process runs remotely: pre-production samples are shipped to you, progress photos are available on request throughout production, and the pre-shipment AQL report is sent before we dispatch.

Do you work with organic cotton or recycled fabric?

We can source organic cotton or recycled nylon on request. Availability and lead time depend on your specification and order size. Include a note in your enquiry and we will confirm options and any cost difference when we quote.
